Wow, I can honestly say, this is the best dance party in Portland. Described as “Bhangra*Bollywood*Desi Beats”, the music is incredible, and the energy unmatched. Everyone spends the entire night on the floor, with arms in the air, and groovin to the beat. Fez Ballroom is transformed into an Indian dance club, and you truly feel as though you’ve left the states. Dj Anjali & The Incredible Kid know what to play, and never let the energy die. You simply have to experience it yourself!

For this party they started the night with a bhangra dance lesson by Bay Area instructor Joti Singh and live dholi Bongo Sidibe both from the Duniya Dance Company.

Speaking of celebrating passion…You take DJ’s Anjali, E3 and The Incredible Kid, give them a room full of people, and just experience that energy.  Nothing quite like it.  They celebrated their 6th year at Holocene on Saturday night, and I had the privilege of capturing some images.
