What a cool experience to take in the World Cup final between France and Italy….with perspective from a Frenchman and Italians. It certainly opened my eyes to a truly exciting sport, and the passion these people have for their teams is unmatched in any sport we have in the US.
We started the day at Costello’s in NE Portland, with beers and food. The place was packed with long time soccer fans and newbies like myself…A wonderful environment to take it all in.
With Jean Luc in are group, it was interesting to see all the long time Torrefazione Italia fanatics jump ship, replacing the green with blue. They would have an early opportunity to celebrate……
…But it was short lived.
After the game, it was on to face the Italians….not an easy thing after winning the World Cup.
