A shoot with Ada Lusardi, to create images for marketing materials and web site images….And it was wonderful.
It’s funny how quickly you get into your comfort zone as a photographer, and forget what it is to explore new directions, and simply enjoy the process of photography. The beauty of creating a collaborative space, has been the new energy it’s created….It has certainly reignited that desire to create. This past Monday came about, because Shannon Sewell made it happen, and I was lucky enough to be invited along. While I don’t see “fashion” photography as part of my future, if that is what you call this, I do believe it translates well to everything I do.
Big thanks to Lia for coming out and doing her thing. Amy Gillespie for working her magic with the makeup. Jean-Luc for always being ready to jump in front of the camera. Shannon Sewell for being a kick ass photographer, who allows me to join in.

The wonderful thing about being a head shot photographer, is not only do you get to be involved in the success of others, but you get to meet some really fantastic people. I tell you what, Jennifer Powers rocks my world.
Since our first head shot session a few years back, I’ve had the opportunity to tap into her infectious energy and approach to life…Let me assure you, my words cannot fully describe what it is to be with Jennifer in person. When she first told me about her book project, I was curious if all that is Jennifer, would come through in a book. To my delight, “Oh, Shift” gets the job done nicely. It’s just a great book to keep out on a table, and pick up for a quick hit of motivation. I definitely recommend it to everyone! Find it at ohshift.net
Now the plan is to find a few people who want join in and get our shift together! Tuesday nights?
Just wanted to share some photos from the shoot, as this is the Jennifer I know…

Jean-Luc and I set out a create a couple photos and bring the character from his play “L’Arbre Migrateur” to life. I tell ya, you put him in his costume and watch the persona change….It’s very exciting. I can’t wait for it to become a reality, and see him working it on a Portland stage. I have a feeling that this shoot will seriously alter what I do, and the way I do it, moving forward. Just a load of thoughts right now, so I’ll leave it at that…
We did this for Sadie’s acting site, which I can’t wait to see completed, and you can find at sadiemedley.com
